Peugeot Kidnapping

Eric Peugeot, 4-year-old son of French automobile manufacturer Roland Peugeot, was kidnapped on April 12, 1960, and a ransom note demanding 500,000 francs was sent to the father. After payment of an undisclosed sum was made, the boy was abandoned, unharmed, in front of a café in Paris on April 15.

Roland Peugeot carries his son into his home after the boy was returned by his kidnappers.
