Lumbee Indians Raid the Ku Klux Klan

About 200 members of the Lumbee Tribe, angered by cross burnings directed against members, raided a Ku Klux Klan rally near Maxton, North Carolina, on January 18, capturing a cross from armed Klansmen.Two Klan leaders were arrested and convicted of inciting the riot.
