Prime Minister Harold Macmillan Visits Eisenhower

British Prime Minister Harold Macmillan arrived in Washington on June 7, 1958, for informal talks with President Dwight Eisenhower, June 9-11, for discussions with Secretary of State John Foster Dulles and other officials, and for a sentimental visit to Indiana, home state of his U.S.-born mother. While in Indiana he delivered the commencement address at DePauw University.
